More Information

What is Microblading?

Microblading is implemented using a handheld tool composed of various micro needles in the shape of a blade, which is dipped into pigment and then implanted into the basal membrane. It is achieved with two sessions* (the second session is always included in initial price). The second session is approx. 6 weeks after the initial procedure. If you are someone who wears medium-full coverage makeup daily, you will most likely still feel the need to pencil your eyebrows in after getting microbladed.

*If you have very little to no hair, thick and or oily skin, a third session may be needed to complete your desired look. In that case, the third session is $100, and must be completed within 90 days from the last touch up.

Am I a good candidate?

The process goes far beyond finding the right artist. It's just as important to determine whether your skin is fit and ready to be tattooed. From your age, sensitivity to the condition and quality of your skin, a lot goes into the safety and effectiveness of the microblading process. As artists, our goal is always to ensure that you receive the best possible results from your treatment. This is heavily reliant on your skin being healthy, strong, and calm.

Unfortunately, pre-existing skin conditions and skin treatments can heavily compromise the effectiveness of microblading, leaving both you and your brow artist in an unfavorable situation. So, before you go ahead and book your appointment, read the list in the next tab to find out if microblading is for you.

Eligible With Doctor Clearance

Although permanent makeup is great for enhancing your look, we require a doctor's note in order to perform the procedure for anyone undergoing chemotherapy. Once you're cleared from your oncologist we can book your appointment. Permanent makeup is a great solution for cancer survivors.

Individuals with Diabetes

Individuals with Thyroid Condition
The color of your brows can fade faster when taken with certain thyroid medications.

Individuals with High Blood Pressure
Your blood pressure has to be at a stable condition. You may have slightly greater bleeding than the norm. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results.

Individuals that have any uncertainty regarding their pre-existing conditions, or are under the supervision of a physician, please consult with your doctor before booking an appointment.

Eligible Based on Individual Cases

Individuals with a dark pre-existing eyebrow tattoo or permanent makeup
The tattoo or permanent makeup must be light enough for us to draw hair strokes. We ask anyone with a previous eyebrow tattoo to send us an email with a picture of their eyebrows with no makeup on, so we can evaluate.

Individuals who are allergic to lidocaine or epinephrine
Our most used anesthetic is lidocaine and epinephrine so if you are allergic to it, we will not be able to use it during the procedure; however, you will still have an option to proceed but without a numbing agent to reduce the pain.

Individuals with oily skin
Those with very oily skin are ineligible for microblading. Powder brows are recommended for this skin type. Those with less oily or combination skin, may consider a combination of microblading and powder brows, known as combo brows.

Individuals with sun damaged skin
It can results in poor retention of pigment.

FAQ

Does it hurt?
Topical numbing cream is applied before the procedure begins to minimize discomfort. I also numb a 2nd or 3rd time during the procedure. Everyones pain tolerance is different though, as I've had some clients fall asleep during the treatment and others clenching their fists. If you've survived waxing, plucking and threading, you will most likely be just fine :)

What happens at my first session?
During your first session (approx. 2 hours) you will start by filling out a consent form, and once that is completed, I apply the topical numbing cream. After letting the cream sit for about 15-20 minutes, I will custom design your brow shape with pencil based on your bone structure, eye placement, face shape and other factors. Once your brow shape and pigment color are agreed upon, I will then begin Microblading!

What happens at my touch up session?
At your touch-up session I will go over all of the original strokes, while also adding some new ones to create a layered (3D) look. I will also fill in any spots that the pigment didn't fully take. It is completely normal to have some strokes that have “disappeared”, meaning the skin did not have good retention in that particular part of the brow or just that particular stroke after your first session. Minor tweaking can also be done on the over all shape and pigment color as well.

Is there any down time after treatment?
GOOD NEWS- You do not have to hide from the world after your treatment! Your freshly bladed brows will appear darker before they get lighter, so prepare to see your brows 30% darker for the first 5-7 days and then they will lighten. Other than that, they will just be red and irritated immediately following treatment but that will go down within a few hours. Most clients continue on with their day as usual. I have a wedding coming up in 2 weeks can i get them done before? It is not advised to get microblading done right before any big events such as weddings, vacations etc. This is because it is a two step process and your brows will not truly be complete until after the 2nd session which is 6 weeks later. If you are looking to get your brows done for a big future event, it is recommended to book about 2 months in advance.

What is the maintenance like?
Microblading is known to last about 2-5 years depending on skin type and lifestyle. Certain skin types (oily and/or larger pores) may need touch ups more often. Touch-ups are recommended for everyone to freshen up your brows and boost your color at around 18 months.
